A Complete Guide to Himiway Bikes

black electric bike propped up on a brick wall

The electric bike scene is a wildly outrageous one, in the respect that it’s a 45+ billion-dollar business and rising. It makes total sense with the world crisis with the natural resources depleting as we speak. The numbers make good sense since that means that there are that many people answering the call. With all these electric bikes being sold, it seems that more people are wanting to go electric. But doesn’t that leave a good bit of people who are bound to get overwhelmed trying to buy something they know little to nothing about? Well, we here at e-Mobility Reviews are all about taking the hands of the willing and giving them a complete guide with the best options for cheap electric bikes, electric scooters, dirt ebikes, and more with each fortified article. You will not buy an electric bike blindly if we can help it!

What Makes a Good Bike?

The first and main things you want to look into are the major components of the electric bike. These parts that make the bike electric are the battery and the motor, which kind of go hand in hand. You want to fully understand the battery and motor and what it does for the bike. After that, you need to understand the pedal-assist mode and the throttle, and what they do. Then, it’ll be ideal that you learn about the good suspension, brakes, and the size tires that’ll fit your needs and your stature. If you want to delve into other parts of an electric bicycle, like a Shimano derailleur, for instance, you will benefit greatly from the links you’ll find throughout this article. Aside from the parts of an electric bicycle, it’ll be a great idea to give yourself a refresher on the bike designs and their role on the road, or off-road.

A Motor and Battery

A great many people have a difficult time figuring out the Watts, Ampere, or the amp-hours, and the voltage and what it all means. The good news is we have a little cheat sheet for you to get the gist. We will start by letting you know that amp-hours is simply put as how many amps you get in a continuous hour. The battery is what holds all the voltage and amp-hours, which will be the answer to the watts per hour (W; Wh) you get, continuously. The voltage is typically described as 36V, 48V, 72V, and so on. With volts, the more voltage you get the more speed you get. The amp-hours (Ah) means nothing if you don’t factor the volts into the equation. But the amp-hours are usually a 5Ah, 10Ah, 12Ah,15Ah, 17.5Ah, and up to 20Ah. Watts per hour is a similar thing as the amp per hour deal, meaning however many Watts per hour is the total output of energy from the battery per hour. The Watts are marked as 250W, 350W, 500W, 750W, and 1,000W and it stops there since 1,00W are illegal and are classified as mopeds or higher requiring a license and registration to ride it. Ultimately, the Watts is the measurement of the initial energy of the battery at a point in time whereas the watts hour measure the speed and distance the bike can travel over the hour. So, the equation to figure out the most important number for the consumer is Volts (V) x Amp-hours (Ah) = Watts hour (W).

For instance, a 36V x 10 Ah = 360W where the W is what you ultimately should be concerned with, considering that your range and torque will be the direct recipient of the watts. Of course, the way you use pedal-assist or your throttle will decrease the milage in your range. Other factors to ponder will be the aerodynamics drag of your body, your weight distribution of you, and the battery. But most electric bike companies have a perfect placement of key parts like the battery and motor to minimize the drag.

Throttle and Pedal Assist

On to the next lesson; the pedal-assist mode and the throttle can really drain the battery. The battery will perform better if it’s a Samsung or other lithium-ion battery, but some lead and mercury batteries are as good. Beware, though, of the real dirt-cheap electric bikes, stick to a reputable brand. Back to the throttle at hand. Not all bakes have a throttle. However, if want to climb uphill or ride the bike seamlessly and without breaking a sweat, get a bike with a throttle. Usually, the throttle can be activated by a squeeze of the hand or a push button. The pedal-assist mode is usually given to a bike with a throttle and the components can be used intermittently or one or the other. Some electric bikes come with pedal assist without a throttle to engage. These bikes will be easier to ride, but won’t drive you home without some effort on your behalf. Finally, whether you choose a bike with a throttle or just pedal assist, you can still pedal the bike manually if that suits you once and a while.

Brakes, Suspension, and Tires

There are some parts of a bike, a regular bike or an electric bike, that we’d deem bike riding dangerous and uncomfortable, even impossible without. Take brakes for instance, without any good braking system like hydraulic disc brakes, riding any bicycle would be dangerous and potentially catastrophic! So, when looking for the brakes the electric bike offers the buyer and use your common knowledge to decipher what kinds of brakes you trust with your life potentially. The next thing isn’t the most safety-related component but it is geared toward comfort and preventing injuries. The suspension of the bike you get should have a good fork suspension system to keep your ride comfortable and seamless. Finally, the wheels or tires are absolutely necessary to ride the bike, or else you’d look pretty silly carrying your bike with no tires. Aside from the need for the tires’ existence, you want to consider things like your body weight, stature, and taste in the size of the tires. A heavier rider will benefit from a fat tire bike and a sturdy frame whereas a petite person will need a bike with a smaller frame with fat tires and an adjustable seat. Moreover, there’s nothing too wrong with choosing the size of the tires based on personal preference, as long as you can easily maneuver the bike. The rest is easy peasy once you decide on the type of bike that suits your needs best, like a road bike which is a commuter bike, a mountain bike, a cruiser, or a hybrid bike. We can delve into that a bit further as we read on.

The Himiway Escape

The Himiway Escape

The moped-style Himiway bike Escape, the big brother of the Escape Pro electric scooter, definitely lives up to its name. The utility of the Escape Himiway electric bike is ultimately up to the rider. Whether you want to escape the mundane everyday workweek life and take the bike paths less traveled, or your bike paths are more where the rubber meets the road as a commuter bike, you will still find loads of enjoyment altogether. This electric bike has a payload capacity of 330 pounds and the ideal rider is 5 feet- 6 feet tall to get the most range and power the bike has in store for you.

The Frame, Battery, and Motor

You’ll find yourself loving the indestructible 6061 Aluminum Alloy bike frame that houses a fully integrated battery, complete with cables, also integrated into the frame of the electric bike. You won’t be able to resist the need to ride this fat tire ebike day and night pushing the bike’s limits, which can’t be bent, by the way. The 750W hub motor and the 48V/ 12Ah Samsung lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery are unsurpassable in range, acceleration, and speed. This monster electric bike will provide you with a minimum of 23-miles at the max pedal assist level 5, and a minimum of 28-miles on pedal assist level 1. Although the Himiway website claims 45 miles range, the number they listed is an estimate based on the minimal weight and other factors that can drain the battery. This is why it’s important to have testers report the real-life battery capacity of electric bikes on the whole. The bike is a heavier model so manual pedaling may not be as easy with no battery, but if the bike’s powered on it can support manual pedaling as well as the pedal assist level 1-5. However, the perfect 750W hub motor can almost outperform any other with the ability to handle even for a beginner rider. The electric bicycle lives up to its moped-style name, maxing out at 20mph and by having smaller jumps in the pedal assist, level by level about 2 miles an hour, lives up to its beginner-friendly reputation. When you add the wrist grip throttle into the mix the bike gets even more exciting. The throttle accelerates all the way to a class 2 speed of 20mph seamlessly. Besides, the fitting use of the grip twist throttle makes the ride more desirable and fun than the pedal-assist alone. Any level rider can get some real excitement out of the Escape for years on end, and the upgraded Himiway Bike Escape Pro can be a level up for the more experienced rider.

Comfort and Handling

A mandatory low bench seat and high set handlebars and all that suspension in the fat tire ebike make handling a dream come true. You’ll find yourself forcing a racetrack out of the city streets with curbs and bike lanes as jump-offs. Hence, you’ll be forcing the mundane tasks of life into the most fun you’d ever had. With the bike’s natural good handling, even a person who’s not ridden in a while, or ever, can easily pick it up and never want to put it down. A workweek life just became forever changed! With the rear suspension from the fat tires of the bike itself and the hydraulic lockout fork suspension in the front, you’re just about floating on a cloud, and protected from all the daring off-road types of moves you’ll make, even if the moves made aren’t necessarily off the road, if you’re catching the drift. The bike’s design gives the rider a low center of gravity making you as agile as a cat, well, on the bike. We don’t know how well you balance otherwise, so no risky business. Any other bike may lead you into fatigue or soreness, but with the amazing suspension of the Himiway bike, you’ll never feel any of that typical fatigue because of the amazing shock absorption the Escape possesses.

Brakes, Suspension, and Tires

When you get into the groove and you can’t resist turning the streets into your own BMX rink, the unique overall rear suspension will save your butt, literally, each time you land a jump. The rear suspension is tied into the fender via a cable that runs the length of the electric bike. The fork suspension lives in the front wheel with a hydraulic lockout for superior suspension. With this well-executed suspension system, it’s smooth sailing every time it’s ridden. Tektro Aries hydraulic disc brakes come with 180mm rotors in the front and rear for electrifying stopping power. You won’t be able to lock out your brakes necessarily, but from a 20mph speed, 13.4 inches is pretty good stopping power considering the 94-pound bike’s weight. Besides the commonality of the brand of the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes makes them easier to find when it comes time to replace them. Additionally, the Shimano Altus drivetrain gives the Escape some power when climbing hills, and keeping speeds at the max on a straightaway. The lower gears of the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain will get you up and out of any terrain situations. The tires of the Escape Himiway electric bike are fat, measuring 4″ in width with the diameter of the wheels overall being 20″ around lends you extra suspension or cushioning from the extra-wide tires. What you get with a fat tire bike is easy cornering and a lot of off-road adventuring and all-weather conditions for the most utility. Plus, the Kenda name is also a common brand within the fat tire ebike world of parts. Moreover, the Kenda 20″ x 4″ fat tires are puncture-resistant leaving out the constant need to fiddle with the flat inner tubes in the tire. It’s smarter and cheaper to replace the whole tire in the rare case that the tire gets punctured or flattened. But the need is so much of a rare occurrence, that it’s an almost moot point to have explained it to you now.

Accessories

Can you even believe that there’s more? The Himiway Bike company has thoroughly planned the step-thru electric bike’s design and executed the plan dead on! The handlebars don an LCD display that keeps you informed of the battery capacity, miles driven, a speedometer, pedal assist level, and even comes with a USB charging port for your phone or other electric devices. The Escape Himiway bike comes with a 48V headlight and taillight, rear rack, and fenders for the front and rear. The rear rack can hold up to 66 pounds and the weight maximum payload for the bike is 330 pounds. And there’s always a way to completely customize your bike to your liking with the Himiway bike store online.

The Cruiser Step-Thru in White

The low step-thru design and bench seat give the older generations a chance at a good time sans the expense of their back and any falls when mounting the Himiway Cruiser. With this special permission or invitation to the electric bike party, don’t be fooled by this. The cruiser bike, born electric, is still 860Wh of pure power. We’ll get into the power in a few moments, but the design is where we’re at now. The high-rise handlebars and the low, yet adjustable, bench seat gives you an outshining performance capability. The slim white body of the bike compared to the use of the fat tire ebike design from the Escape, gives the cruiser bike a beautiful contrast and a comfortable ride. Now, let’s get into those 860Wh and the other specifics of the motor and battery.

The Battery and Motor

To start, the 750W brushless hub motor feeds from the 48V/17.5Ah Samsung/LG Lithium-ion battery to reach a powerful 860Wh. The hub motor gets 80Nm of torque at the max output, tops out at about 26 mph, and maintains that speed brilliantly. The suggested range of the Cruiser Step-Thru Himiway bike on the website is 35-60 miles. However, most bikes get anywhere from 20 miles of range to 40 miles of range in one single charge. The cruiser bike here seems to be just about on point with the estimate of the range of 60 miles. The general consensus is that with the pedal-assist level at 3, you can get around 50 miles of range easily. The pedal assist and throttle are going to get you further on your ride, but it comes at a price: the range decreases with use. But what’s good to know and understand about the way it works is the state-of-the-art 7-speed Shimano drivetrain that is designed to get you out of rocky situations and smooth sailing no matter the terrain you encounter. The Shimano drivetrain is a gear shifter for a lack of a better description. It’s so much more though, with the magic show of gears, and sprockets to give you speed and agility and it’s found in most high-quality electric bikes. And what if we told you that the 80Nm of torque, converted into (59) foot-pounds, equaled 3 horsepower in the Cruiser Step-Thru electric bike? Well, we did the math, and it absolutely does.

Comfort and Handling

The sturdy 6061 aluminum alloy frame that holds together the 72-pound beauty is a sight to behold, but not for too long before you’ve found a good excuse to hop on it, and then you’re gone for adventuring. The weight of the Himiway cruiser electric bicycle is not too heavy for manual pedaling if need be, but if you want to manually pedal a bike shouldn’t you just get a cool mountain bike? Well, the aluminum alloy is no guarantee that this baby is a lightweight bike, and technically it’s not. But if you had to pedal manually, you probably could for a small distance. Now, the suspension in the rear and front are the best parts to give you a comfortable ride, and the fact that it’s a fat tire ebike and a Himiway cruiser bike wrapped into one amazing electric bike. The fat tire gives you a 4″ wide tire and provides a considerable cushion as you cruise along. The seat is lower than the flat road bike handlebars which offer back pain relief by forcing a straight and neutral spinal position, especially because you’re not given a break out of the upright position, your butt will be so glad to see the super soft and pillowy saddle. This means there’s no aggressive riding and there’s a forward lean with this bike so the handling will be precise and intentional. The pedal-assist level goes up to 5, and the throttle along with the Shimano 7-speed derailleur sets you up for a fair fight in the woods. But if you have a job and live amongst humans in the civilized world or at least semi-civilized world, you’ll probably be using your fat tire ebike to navigate the city streets. But if you’re lucky, you’ll get to tour some country roads on the Himiway Cruiser Step-Thru on most of your days off. Either way, the Cruiser Step Thru will be at the ready every time you mount it to hold true to the promise of a comfortable and easy peasy kind of ride. The handling of this elegant cruiser bike is so simple and smooth that if your grandma wanted to ride an electric bicycle, this one would be the one. She can free the speed demon within, yet not feel any unease doing it and her back won’t scream at her later on. In all sincerity though, this Himiway cruiser bike is absolutely fit for the older population. What, with the low profile of the step-thru frame, the all-over suspension, and its ultra-comfy saddle seat, anyone taller than 5 feet can ride this Himiway cruiser. Hopefully, granny is at least that tall so she can get a thrill of her own, too.

Brakes, Suspension, and Tires

We’ve already listed the suspension, rear, and front, with the hydraulic action in both tires and the front fork suspension system with adjustments and lockout features. And we’ve mentioned the fact that the bike is a halfling of the fat tire bike and the cruiser bike and the tires are 4″ wide. But, it’s worth noting that the tires are puncture resistant and 26″ around. They have the same reliable 180mm mechanical disc brakes that the Himiway bikes all have.

Accessories

The heavy-duty kickstand with the integrated taillights and 48V headlight starts bringing the image of this bike together for a dreamer. The Himiway cruiser will tell you your speed, mileage that’s been ridden, the battery capacity, and much more on its LCD screen, and the device allows a charger to be plugged in for charging while riding. The rear rack is a sturdy aluminum alloy that can hold up to 66 pounds of weight. And the Himiway Bike website has all kinds of additions to customize your Himiway cruiser to your needs, they even have a baby seat you can apply to the bike for baby-and-me rides. It’s worth it to check the store out when you’ve finally discovered your new electric bike.

The Himiway Cruiser in Black

The Himiway Cruiser in Black

Another cruiser bike is going to be a lot the same as the Himiway cruiser before it, but right off the bat, you’ll notice the paint job is the opposite color from the Himiway cruiser before that was white with a black battery integration system on the frame. This Himiway cruiser is all black with a hint of white in the branding on the frame under the handlebars. This bike is sleek and has a sex appeal all of its own. Let’s see if it’s similar to the Himiway Cruiser Step-Thru, now.

The Battery and Motor

Looking at the similarities of the Himiway Cruiser Step-Thru to the Himiway Cruiser, the bikes are identical in the 860Wh batter capacity and the 750W brushless hub motor, and the 48V/17.5Ah Samsung/LG lithium-ion battery pack, The Velo saddle, and the low step-thru aluminum alloy bike frame. The same 3Hp and 35-60 miles of range with pedal assist levels 1-5 and throttle to help you conquer the most rugged terrain of your adventurous soul’s desires. So far, we’ve found one dissimilarity and that’s the color.

Comfort and Handling

The bike’s geometry is looking to add up to the same measurements of the design. The adjustable seat and the road bike type of handlebars are the best electric bike components for easy handling and comfort where you need them the most. The rear suspension and the amazing front fork suspension are the same equipment and design elements. The Himiway Cruiser also has the same 180mm mechanical disc brakes and the hydraulic disc brakes, so, officially, from the heavy-duty rear rack and the 350-pound weight capacity, the Himiway Cruiser and the Himiway Cruiser Step Thru are only different by the color of the bike, but all the vital components are the same. No need to repeat those details for you again. You’re welcome.

The Himiway Cobra Pro

The Himiway Cobra and The Himiway Cobra Pro

We’ll start with the original Cobra Soft Tail Himiway bike, then organically we’ll be able to compare the newer Cobra Pro Soft Tail Himiway bike to it. First off, this Himiway bike is, thus far, unlike any of the other electric bikes here, Cobra or the pro version. The all-textured black bike with noticeably bigger tires than we’ve seen thus makes this bike a real bad @$$! So far, there has been an upgrade in the aluminum alloy of the Cobra to a stronger 6061 alloy and the motor is bigger in the Cobra Pro Himiway bike. This big machine can carry a payload of up to 400 pounds and the rider can be 5’3″ to 6’3″ tall for a good range and comfortable ride. And, for all this, it only weighs 88 pounds! So, let’s delve deeper, shall we?

The Battery and Motor

The motor that drives this bat outta hell is a 1,000W mid-drive motor rather than the 750W geared hub motor in the Cobra electric bike. The Cobra has a 7-speed derailleur rather than a 10-speed and gets 86Nm of torque at max output, which is still more than we’ve seen yet. The intense 160Nm of torque is reached with the 1300W of climbing power to flatten steep hills and accelerate from a dead stop, this electric bike is a beast. This electric bike is more like a beefcake of a mountain bike with double the suspension and the list goes on. But, what is the battery capacity like? Well, the 48V/20Ah Samsung LG Lithium-ion battery puts out a 960Watt hours for the safety of the rider but also for the stability and range of distance. The excellent range with pure electric power is a whopping 60 miles, but with any pedal assist and thumb throttle power the range can reach up to 80 miles. The battery of both electric bikes takes an equal amount of time to charge fully at a 7-hour timeframe and will still maintain 80% battery capacity after 1,000 charges, too! Also, the battery that’s integrated into the frame of the Cobra Himiway bike has 98% fewer mechanical failures than the non-integrated battery, and the Cobra Pro Himiway bike has 88% few failures because of the integrated battery design, leaving more fun time and less maintenance on the bike.

Comfort and Handling

With all that’s already been said about the Cobra and Cobra Pro electric bikes, it only gets better. The dual suspension system of the four-bar linkage system and the coil suspension system make this the safest and fastest electric bike you’ll ever see. The four-bar linkage system is built within the body of the bike in a shape of a 4-sided polygon from the seat stay, chain stay, rocker, and the seat tube to absorb rear upward blows and the coil suspension provides exceptional stability as you ride, and still absorbs shock from the tires. The handling on this bike is so smooth and secure that any adult can have the time of their lives riding this monster of an electric bike and mountain bike in one. Even the Shimano drivetrain is bigger in this electric bike, having a 10-speed derailleur for more traction and performance capability on the city streets and while off the beaten bike paths.

Brakes and Tires

Since we just got finished with the way that the dual suspension system works, all that’s left to discover about the Cobra Himiway Bike and the Cobra Pro Himiway Bike is the way the brakes work. The Tektro hydraulic disc brakes work with hydraulic fluid to inject the disc brakes which stops them on a dime. The tires on this bike are 4.8″ wide which are the biggest tires on the US market to date and the fat tire ebike CST tires are built for even riding up and down mountains let alone sand, snow, and gravel. They’re puncture resistant and the most effective 26″ C x 4.8″ W wheels that have ever been served on a fork. Well, that is, the fork of the electric bike.

The Himiway Big Dog

The Himiway Big Dog

Now, meet the Big Dog Himiway bike that’s part cargo bike and part electric scooter, or moped, if you will. The electric cargo bike will carry up to 400 pounds of stuff on the rear rack. So, if you’ve been on the fence about moving out, this is your chance, maybe? Aside from using the electric cargo bike to do a midnight move-out on your roommate, you can give people rides or take a big dog everywhere you go. Well, we mean, if you already own said dog; no dog-napping, and we don’t recommend offering people rides you don’t already know. But hopefully, you can take the hypothetical statements, and then you’ll be able to make smart decisions for the utility of the extra weight it carries on its sturdy rack. The electric scooter part is a stylized look that the Himiway bike brand has designed to make daily commuting more comfortable and safe. The electric bike does look like an electric scooter, or a moped if you’d rather sound a bit European. The only difference is the pedals, although, with pedal-assist and throttle, you won’t need to focus on the pedals while you ride it. The bike looks like the battery is fully integrated into the aluminum alloy frame. And, you know what that means, right? It means the battery is weatherproofed! Well, let’s see what else the electric cargo bike is all about.

The Battery and Motor

We already know the battery is weather-proof, so now we need to see what the battery is made of. The car-level 48V/20A battery technology literally drives this cargo train car! The specs of this cargo bike are similar to the Cobra Himiway bike, but for less mullah. The 750W geared hub motor combined with the battery capacity, the 86Nm of torque while you peel off from that red light with your belonging piled high above your head as you say one final signora to your now ex-roommate. Now, all kidding aside, that torque will come in handy if you plan to use the electric scooter for heavy deliveries for work or what have you. The 400-pound payload is more than you get with other more expensive electric bikes. So, really, you’d have it made with the Big Dog Himiway bike! And with a state-of-the-art new pedal assist that automatically adjusts to different conditions on the road to a pedal assist level that’s geared to the newfound conditions. Moreover, the Shimano gear shifter of the 7-speed derailleur will always be ready to shift into the low gears to get you out of sticky situations with the half twist throttle. You’re out of there! And 60 to 80 miles should suffice before the next charge of the battery.

Comfort and Handling

With the mule of an electric bike we have here, you may assume that the handling or comfort isn’t going to be there. Well, think again, the innovation of electric bikes at Himiway bike isn’t done yet! A bike isn’t a bike until it’s the most comfortable and performance-driven bike you’ve ever seen and at the lowest prices too! The Selle saddle is a bike seat that’s made for pressure relief for the hip, butt, and even the shoulders. The rear rack is one that you choose whether the rack is cushioned for extra riders or a slotted metal rack, so it’s not automatically included in your package. The electric scooter design allows the back of the rider to stay in a neutral position leaving less pain and more outdoor fun!

Brakes, Suspension, and Tires

The 4″ wide fat tire bike feature is a trend with the Himiway bike brand it seems, but that ensures the safety of the rider. The 180mm mechanical disc brakes and the hydraulic disc brakes on the Big Dog will ensure the bike stops even with a heavy load behind you. The suspension of the front and the rear suspension will continue the work of the saddle and the electric scooter positioning to keep you comfortably riding your bike whether for fun or as a commuter bike, the Himiway bike brand wants a rider that is loving every aspect of their electric bikes.

The Himiway Zebra

The Himiway Zebra

Finally, if you haven’t already bailed to order your dream Himiway bike, then this is the one you’ve been waiting for. The Zebra Himiway bike is the ultimate all-terrain electric fat bike that’s loaded with the most power allowed in the ol’ US of A. The perks of this mix between a road bike and a mountain bike that’s electric and made to simply mess some stuff up on the rugged trails or the city streets, are up to you! The step-thru bike design with a flat handlebar feature to go with the raised seat for aggressive maneuvering wherever you are. And the 26″ Kenda fat tire ebike will never let the rider slip in any messes like ice or mud, making the handling and performance both unbeatable and safe.

The Battery and Motor

We already spoiled a little bit of the specs but not nearly enough. The 750W geared hub motor has a max output of 86Nm of torque for the off-road every rider should enjoy once a week or so. The 48V/2Ah puts out a 960Wh for the most challenging terrain that could ever encounter. And it seems the Zebra is a kicking horse that’s ready for anything. The prepared rider is a safe rider. So why not anticipate the worst scenario ahead of time to ensure that every rider of the Zebra gets home to tell the story later. The 60-80 mile range is plenty for a commuter bike and a long weekend hitting up steep hills and bike paths. And, with the glorious pedal assist along with the Shimano 7-speed gear shift system, the ride is impossibly easy going. Seriously, what more is there to say? Already got your wallet out?

Comfort and Handling

For just about anyone, the Zebra Himiway bike’s ideal rider is between 5’1″ and 6’2″ and the capacity is 400 pounds, and that includes the rider. So, while the bike has a higher weight capacity, you should count your weight into the total weight it’s carrying. The seat is fully adjustable going from the starting height of 27.6″ to 35.4″. The maximum height of the seat will have the handlebars lower than the rider, rather than the initial position wherein the handlebars are diagonal to the rider. The initial positioning of the handlebars is indicative of a road bike with the diagonal straight back of the rider and the zoned-in feel. This position of the handlebars to the rider is required for aggressive maneuvers on the road or the bike paths. With the handlebars being below the seat, the rider may experience the ride differently and the handling may be similar to that of a mountain bike or a hybrid bike. However, the torque of this geared hub motor will allow the rider to accelerate quickly and climb steep hills seamlessly. The pedal assist and throttle will allow a rider to just ride the bike, all the rider has to do is enjoy the scenery and brake as needed. The Selle road bike type of seat will prevent any pressure deriving from long or bumpy rides and will relieve any already existing pressure on the butt, hips, legs, and shoulders for a relaxing ride.

Brakes, Suspension, and Tires

The name of the game with the Himiway bike company seems to be a lot of dual suspension and Tektro 180mm hydraulic disc brakes for the brake systems, and a bike with a super fat tire one in the front fork, and one in the rear below the rear fender. That’s their signature design, and if isn’t broke, why fix it? So, a fork suspension in the front and rear suspension for suspension all over. Kenda fat tires measuring 26″ x 4″ ensure the safety of the rider and makes all conditions of the terrain fun and easy peasy to conquer. The rear brake light ensures that no rear-end collisions should happen and the 48V removable spotlight is brighter than any LED light. This light and the brake light work together well with the reflective lights to ensure a rider is safe at night. The Himiway bike is all about speed and fun but also takes the safety of every rider seriously while riding their electric bikes.
